    Naah. The energy companies came out a while ago and said fracking wouldn't impact the prices significantly. Perhaps this was some play so that the current company would give up making way for the big six take over. hmmm

        Its a stop-gap until something else can be found before my great-grandchildren are born. After that, I suspect the lights will go out - permanently. Well, until they can get this fusion stuff sorted.

          What I don't get is that the country and media are in uproar over £50-£100 energy bills, but nobody seems to care less about the £800+ a month most of us pay for rent or mortgage.

          That's the real extortion in the country.

          £100 for energy seems pretty fair in comparison.
