              Interesting when you factor the taxes in.
              Germany paying more than UK overall, but purchases from market for far less than UK. The rest is tax.

                    In Nordic countries if you live in an apartment you have communal heating, which together with the triple glazing etc keeps the cost down.

                      I am making a point that compared to others what we pay for energy is not that high. The point I am also making is that if you are going to present profits to back up an argument these should be put into context - such as where those profits have been made and what percentage of the companies turnover those profits account for. When we then go on and decide whether we are being ripped off or not (and as far as I am concerned I simply cannot form an opinion) we will be better equipped with information which has some sort of perspective to it.
