Yes, if all food producers/retailers raised there prices in concert every 6 months until people were starving to death all the while enjoying bigger and bigger profits there would be a revolt. Obviously the food market is much more diverse and works properly, has proper competition and choice.

You can see the difference can't you?

But these companies need to make a profit in order to invest in the infrastructure to provide new renewable energy sources, apparently.

You could fire a few questions his way:

Our Customer Services Director Bert Pijls will be taking part in a Q&A about our price rise at 1-2pm. Tweet your questions using #AskBG!

I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.

              EDF Energy France

Each of the big 6 energy companies are announcing price rises over the next two months. SSE were first.

nPower are to announce the same fairly shortly.
Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

It doesn't take much intelligence to work out that Greece is poorer than the UK and has lower (if any) wages.
We are now building a proper perspective much to the annoyance of those who have already made their minds uup

                      Interesting reading :

                      Energy Switching Dilemma

note the wholesale price & resulting price.

its being edged up for more profit. Based on Ofgem figures apparently.
