Clean your teeth before going to the dentist it's not pleasant for them having bits of food, plaque and dormant bacteria all over the place while working. Bit of hygiene required.

Which bit of "inside the tooth" do you struggle to understand? Presumably the polysyllabic part
Nasty. I've had root canal treatment before and found that only ibuprofen + codeine worked. Hopefully it's working now because the antibiotics are starting to win the battle. Best of luck.
Codeine... In my experience, it may cure the pain in your mouth, but your arsehole will be in pieces after a couple of days...
If at first you don't succeed... skydiving is not for you!
I've had about 6 root canals over the past couple of years and lucky for me have not had any problems, needed no painkillers nor antibiotics. I'm about to have another 2, well actually 1 as my dentist said that in one of them the root has already been removed (which was news to me) and have to have an implant there. The other is just a straight root canal plus crown.
Never had a RC, but quite a few biggish fillings. Is a RC no more painful than a regular filling then - they can numb it sufficiently you don't feel anything?
During the procedure I mean - I don't mind pain afterwards but am really nervous of them jabbing the drill into my nerve!
