I knew the only way forward, was to nod and act as though it was the cars fault when she said this. The look on her face told me that it was the end of the conversation. -

My 5 series had parking sensors on the back, but they proved largely useless to me in the first few months; beeping getting slightly more frantic still meant I had room. I usually waited for the flatline noise.
I would rather a voice shouting 'YOU NEED TO STOP NOW'

"You have 10cm.."
"you have 3cm.."

Once upon a time I used to drive a Ford Granada around central London. That gave me two skills:-
The ability to spot a space 2 streets away
The ability to parallel park in a space the size of the car. so mehmerely at clientco for the entertainmentComment

a) once it finishes the sentence you're a lot closer than when it started
b) the good lady will say 'nonsense' and carry on
c) men will be blamed for such an invention when the lady dents the car, even if a female voice does the talkingAnd what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014Comment

Perhaps if we were to rename 'bumpers' to some sensitive part of the female body, ladies wouldn't use them for bumping into the cars in front and behind to assist in parking. 'Knockers' probably wouldn't work though. And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014Comment
