Doesn't it rather depend on what they count as essential bills and whether you consider budgeting account provider thinkmoney as a reliable source of data or as just a cheap advert for their Personal Account

I agree before I went contracting again, it was my salary for the 4 of us and to be honest, it wasn't covering the bills and we weren't reaching the end of the month.

It sort of shows how the tories didn't get that people have been living hand to mouth for a while. Whilst they were going on about gay marriage people they should have been talking about wonga and their ilk much much earlier.
