I don't think there is much of a problem with Christians women's rights in the UK.

Can we say that about Muslim women? In fact as we don't have the balls to make them register their faith marriages underage weddings are pretty common and also having multiple married women is pretty common, I cant even be bothered starting on the face masks, forced marriage, honour killings or mutilation. These problems are rampant. We should stop making excuses for them and be more confrontational if we want to bring the religion into the 21st century.

True, abortion, contraception & no role in church hierarchy (or whatever priests are called) may not seem as bad as perceived Islamic issues, but it does, IMHO, prevent Christians from being able to comment on Islamic woman’s rights without being hypocrites.

Of course the statement above is over simplified & has no reflection on the many different aspects of Christianity or Islam.

Well in that case there seems to be a reason to to take action against those particular schools, but that's something different to denouncing a whole religion.

That's an oversimplification; Islam includes many ideologies and ways of life, with some common factors like the belief in the teachings of Mohammed, but also with many interpretations of his teachings. Althought actually, there was one muslim 'fundamentalist' who gained a following in Nigeria in the 1970s who disputed whether Mohammed was a prophet.

Well, it says about 25%; that's not suprising to me as I've noticed that all over Europe the parties that oppose 'foreigners' or 'foreign religions' gain somewhere between 10 and 20% of the votes, sometimes reaching 25% but rarely more.

Remember, young peoples views tend to change as they get more life experience. I'd be interested to see this broken down to levels of education.

Probably because Islam doesn't tolerate alcohol, frowns on sex outside of marriage has a thing about "Dressing modestly" and would like you to pray to an imaginary friend 5 times a day?

Quite frankly that's going to get up the nose of the vast majority 15 - 29 year olds.

A religion that means you can't get p*ssed on Friday night and try and get laid is always going to be viewed as suspicious by the good-old British teenager.
