A gigantic, free to use, web based distance learning machine with reasonably low cost hard to pass examinations that count for something. Practical science experiments could be sold on the high street for pre-exam practice. While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.' -
Outer London Orbital - East to Colchester , West to Reading, North to Stevenage & Saaaaarf to Tunbridge Wells with new river crossing off the Isle of GrainHow fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't thinkComment

Can we build a giant wall around Manchester? Anything lower than say Nottingham and above Nortallerton? Better yet lets just isolate Yorkshire and leave the rest of the UK to fester without usOriginally posted by d000hg View PostOriginally posted by Stevie Wonder BoyI can't see any way to do it can you please advise?

I have been thinking about the HSL2 which may or may not go ahead.
Surely a better option would be a maglev with the existing rail network having branch lines to the mag lev stations so the mag lev pretty much runs straight from London to Glasgow with stops near the major cities e.g. Brimingham, Manchester/Leeds etc.Comment

Totally agree, I often wonder how many man hours are lost to unnecessary congestion or the real cost of accident caused by carelessness.Originally posted by northernladuk View PostTotally out there idea that no one will have thought about before and will never happen.

You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment

We could though have better 'park n ride' schemes for example it takes me approx 20 mins to get to the outskirts of Manchester (approx 25 miles) and then another 40-60 mins to get to the centre (approx 5 miles) I would be more than happy to park up and catch some mass transit to the centre.Comment
