Yes it is hassle and if I knew it was going to be short term I wouldnt bother. BUT I dont want to be still on the bench in 6 months and think - crap I could have got £1800 or so. WOuld have paid the mortgage for a few more months.Comment

Had a spell on the bench last year and experienced exactly the same thing. I was eventually sent to Ingeus where I told them I would be very interested in working as a shepherd and that I wanted to re train as a pilot.Comment

I really don't recommend this route to anyone, unless you think theres a chance that you can get the money back to HMRC . It's illegal but then so is bombing/invading countries that don't have weapons of mass destruction..Comment
