night to myself tonight, F1 at the weekend and some friends are all having their infant children dedicated at the same time (like a christening basically except we don't believe in infant baptism) which means a big bring'n'share lunch after.

I shall be teaching junior his way around a mixing desk. It's the only way I get to have a go on it.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Depends on the weather. Bit of cycling if it's not too bad, cooking and eating tomorrow. Visiting Grandmother-in-law on Sunday which can be interesting depending on whether she remembers who we are and who she is.

You joke, but on a bad day her sense of time really is that bad, and her short term memory is not much better. Conversations can get repetitive.

Similar with my Grandfather. Not suffering from any illness, just things wearing out (he's 97). He's always been very sharp and sort of still is, other than short-term memory.

Yes, but that makes it easy.

She's 93 has progressive vascular dementia so she's steadily getting worse and has been for the last few years. Last time we took her out for the afternoon she forgot she lived in a care home and thought we had taken her to a pub for tea when we took her back. She started panicking when we said we were leaving and wanted to come home with us because she thought we were leaving her there on her own

Catching a Ben Webster tribute at the local jazz cafe tonight.
Tomorrow, cook a fry up with home cured bacon and sausages and later pootle around the local market.
Sunday - cook corned beef hash with home cured salt beef and watch the F1
