We are massively outnumbered by bobs on our floor and I must admit I have never come across this. I have to try think back to a time I have heard them all speaking in their own language and that was in canteen area. I have no issue with the companies who employ the incompetent bobs by the boat load in order to reduce costs at the expense of decent, reliable code. Its market forces. Its the government who let these companies operate like this which I have issue with. I like to judge people as individuals, and given the time and space to do that happy to do so.
As a general rule though the influx of Indian nationals has brought several cultural issues:
1 their culture is racist, both caste on caste and anti white folk, you may not realise this at first but watch over time which bobs get promoted and which dont and compare and contrast to their ability etc.
2 their culture is sexist.
3 their culture doesnt respect norms of health and saftey.
4 their organisations are generally corrupt, indeed Indias own recently retired head of anti corruption described the country as the most corrupt on the planet, hence you cannot trust them. you will learn this through time, they will bill for folk not actually working on the project and so much more.
5 they have a culture of deference, they will never challenge low estimates just nod along and fail to deliver and so on.
6 their education system encorages parrot style learning rather than critical analysis etc

Currently at a major bank in Cheshire (no need to mention who) and they have shifted a load of jobs from India to Easter Europe. The difference is Night and Day. The eastern Europeans I am working with have an excellent work ethic and are hell bent on delivery - I actually have a couple of them ready to do some work for me privately, so if anybody has a project they want to deliver for ultra cheap let me know!Comment
