And I wasn't invited to the project board....

At this point you'd think the PM would come to her BA for help
    Ha!

Sounds like you've successfully alienated your PM and not managed the politics, as already mentioned.

    At least you're consistent.
Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

        Yup, that's about right.

FFS Suity, are you a troll or just a complete moron? It's one or the other.

You need to be snuggling up to the senior stakeholder and getting her to define the requirements for you. Your job is to help guide her and help her understand why the things that she doesn't realise are important are important.

You also need to keep the dev onside. He's not talking across you to offend you, he's locking horns with the PM because he wants things done properly too. The enemy of your enemy is your friend, at least for now.

Aside from that, it all sounds like it's going swimmingly.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Sadly most IT projects are a mess. It’s not a very mature profession really. Lots of charlatans enter the business unchecked. Folk get their next gig on the strength of the buzzwords on their CV rather than the success of their previous projects. It’s always a nice change to find yourself in an environment where competence is the norm, but its rare.

You think every poster is a troll or a mron. Or both.

                      +1.

You would think as the profession got more mature the success rate of projects would increase. Seems to be the opposite though. I blame to way government treats IT professionals whgich leads of lack of people wanting to take it up as a career, offshoring, etcetc.
