They researched the Peruvian legal system and found out you only get 5 years for smuggling. If they got away with it they would make 1 million each. Plenty of people study for more than 5 years and wont earn 1 million in 20 years. Also if they get caught they become celebs and write a book when they get out when they are 28-30 and make a few million.

    I'm booking my ticket now!
They won't have the story to write a book. They're not Howard Marks, they're just a couple of silly kids. As MS points out, they took the risk for £8k, not a million. That tells you all you need to know. For some people £8k is all the money in the world.

If you didn't read the contract before signing it, don't whine about it now.

Yeah bad risk to reward ratio. They must have been forced into it.

They were talked into it. 8K and a free holiday! No, of course you won't get caught, people do it all the time. Here - Luisa - tell them how you've done it 18 times and never got so much as a nod from customs...

              Easy money, innit?

See my comment above. They need a patsy once in a while and spend an awful lot of time trying to find some foolish enough to be one.

In fact the more I think about the story I posted the more accurate I think it is

Maybe MF' transatlantic job is not real and he just smuggles Charlie. He certainly usually looks like he has something up his bottom.

                    It's certainly plausible.

And now Phil Collins is involved! Gang run by nephew of Phil Collins recruited UK drug mules accused of trying to smuggle £1.5m of cocaine out of Peru | Mail Online

Gosh I must read the Daily Mail more often.
