Then we need to slim down the state and leave Europe and rejoin the common market. When will we get another Maggie who will do this?

Anyway answer the question.. what would you do if faced with such a situation?

You may call it Dickensian but it seems to be the norm in Asia. As I said you people with your liberal pampered view of the world have little notion of any alternative.
I am fortunate that I will never be faced with that situation. And as an ardent Maggie fan you can hardly call me a liberal.

However I do have some empathy with those suffering - particularly when I can see a better way. I think it is disgusting that you think ONLY of yourself and stuff everyone else. Maggie despised people like YOU. She always believed in a fair days work for a fair days pay.

Negative interest rates, and higher taxes on investments that don't directly employ people. If we are going to remove the incentives for human capital to sit idle and force it to work hard to survive then we should do the same for financial capital.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Indeed and if you have a zero hours contract, turn up for work and do a days work - you will get a days pay....

The fact is that these jobs are not careers they are jobs for students, kids living at home etc - if you have financial commitments you need to not get a zero hours contract job - simple as that -- a choice.

What do the two posters above have in common?

          (1) Margin, service businesses that create little value for anyone except themselves
          (2) A poor education that causes innumerable fallacies in their arguments.
          Hard Brexit now!

Then it's not a choice, is it?

A poor education????? Please feel free to elaborate as we have, as far as I know, never met.

With regard to you other comment - it contributes nothing to the discussion and, quite frankly, makes you look a bit silly.

Are you familiar with the pigeonhole principle?
