I don't know, only got 7 weeks to make up my mind.

Veering toward philosphy, but the level 2 art history course looks good as there are bits on Bernini's Rome etc.

I did its predecessor A216 - Greek sculpture was very influential on the 17th and 18th century academic art.

If it's any help, I think my favourite OU course was A207 - from Enlightenment to Romanticism. It's a multi-disciplinary course covering a fifty year period and included art, music, literature, philosophy, poetry, architecture. Not directly relevant to classical stuff, but again there was a lot of influence and Ancient Greek art, literature and architecture was thought to be the pinnacle to aspire towards. I enjoyed the multi-disciplinary nature - if there was something you didn't like, you were onto something new in a couple of weeks. I think there's a couple of bits of it on openlearn if you want a taster.

I assume you've done (or are intending to do) A330, the myth course? That really appealled, and I would have liked to have done it - it was a toss up between that and the 20C art (which was a real slog and I wouldn't recommend unless you like decoding language.)

The only other thing to consider is, that to get a first you need a distinction at level 3 - the more level 3 courses you do, the better chance you have of getting one!

Mrs Bless did that one. It was not what she expected and brought forth many expletives.

            She did ace it though.

Tis often the courses with the most expletives that are the most successful.

Missed distinction on Level 2 module (Java) by 2%

Gutted but I will never get a first anyway. Fingers crossed for 2:1 if I carry on at this rate

Good effort - it is annoying when you're so close (happened to me last year), but still a great result.

Congrats, as you are not longer a student, does that just make you mature now?
