Suggestion to board admins

Not multiple IPs per same nickname that's the problem, but same IP for many nicknames - ban those, the rest are fine. Look at extreme case - say if there are 30 nicknames for the same IP then its obvious what they are for, ban them without mercy and ban IP from further registrations.

The site I work at has over 500 contractors. of which at least 10% must at some time post on this bored.

All appear from the same IP.

NHS is anotherone. They all use the same BT transparent cache.

Thats probaly half this bored at the moment

It means there are up to 30 people behind that IP. Any other conclusion is flawed.

His numbers are certainly incorrect - 10% of 500 is 50, and there are less than that many posters on here.

Those multi-nickname spammers are easy to track - their pattern of usage of this site is very different, they would login and post, then login under different nickname - correlate this with datestamps of posts and it will be obvious that different people will never login sequentially in such a short time from same IP, meaning ban all such nicks and IP.
