It ammuses me to think of all the spelling and grammar Nazi's on this board getting a little hot under the collar.

This reminds me - a spelling certificate will be required for anyone wishing to unban multiple-IP based nickname.Comment

Collar Hot? Not me!
Some people may connect from home as well as the office (multiple IP)

I know....Ban them!

Not multiple IPs per same nickname that's the problem, but same IP for many nicknames - ban those, the rest are fine. Look at extreme case - say if there are 30 nicknames for the same IP then its obvious what they are for, ban them without mercy and ban IP from further registrations.Originally posted by PhoenixSome people may connect from home as well as the office (multiple IP)Comment

It means there are up to 30 people behind that IP. Any other conclusion is flawed.
Not wrong, just not substantiated.Comment

His numbers are certainly incorrect - 10% of 500 is 50, and there are less than that many posters on here.Originally posted by PhoenixErr I refer the learned gentleman to exibit A (above)
Those multi-nickname spammers are easy to track - their pattern of usage of this site is very different, they would login and post, then login under different nickname - correlate this with datestamps of posts and it will be obvious that different people will never login sequentially in such a short time from same IP, meaning ban all such nicks and IP.Comment
