The Ashes

I don't care for cricket at all but I would agree there's definitely a case for the Ashes being one of the protected sporting events that have to stay on terrestrial TV, although I'm not sure how much longer that will even be possible considering it's probably against some law. It's amazing how short-sighted some sporting bodies are when Sky wave a wad of cash in their faces. -
No cable in my area sadly. Just cut down to the basic entertainment package and tough it out by good usage of love film and scanning the week ahead for decent stuff to record.Originally posted by Troll View PostJust reviewing the Sky subscription after that latest price hike - did you go with any of the alternatives - Virgin etc?Comment

I would not be following cricket if it was not for the BBC on school holdiays and C4 through university. It is not a popular sport round here really.Comment

If I end up buying the house we're looking at, there'll be no cable and no satellite. No BT Infinity, so nothing from there either.
Looks like streaming over the web it is, then.Comment

No satellite? Where is it, Mars?Originally posted by TheFaQQer View PostIf I end up buying the house we're looking at, there'll be no cable and no satellite. No BT Infinity, so nothing from there either.

Oh, I hadn't thought that was the case for streaming ANY live broadcast channel, but Now claim you're right on their site. Sorry SasOriginally posted by stek View PostBut as soon as you receive a live broadcast (or broadcast as live for those arguing about the satellite delay) you have to have a TV licence AIUI, no telly or not (no telly)
I'm sure it was the Ashes we won.Originally posted by stek View PostBodyline Tour?Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

Re Agar - the meejah are doing that annoying thing they do when someone does something great - they comment on everything else they see him do, and tell us it is a wonder to behold.
We'll soon be hearing about what a great cup of tea he makes, or how magnificently he wipes his arse.Comment

Listed building, so would been consent to have a dish. And I'm not THAT desperate to stick a dish on it.Originally posted by Doggy Styles View PostNo satellite? Where is it, Mars?Comment

I lived in a Grade B listed building, stuck the dish low on an adjoining wall, no problem!Originally posted by TheFaQQer View PostListed building, so would been consent to have a dish. And I'm not THAT desperate to stick a dish on it.Comment

Oh I see. Have you got a shed or something you could screw it to instead?Originally posted by TheFaQQer View PostListed building, so would been consent to have a dish. And I'm not THAT desperate to stick a dish on it.Comment
