You might, but then again you might not.Originally posted by sasguru View PostSorry but you're not going to get reliability from a £5K, > 100K, 10 year old BMW.
For £5K or £6K you can get a much newer, lower mileage Honda, Toyota, Mazda, Nissan like I listed, which has a higher likelyhood of requiring less repair and servicing costs.
However, you won't be getting the lovely smooth 3 litre straight six diesel engine and you won't be getting RWD.

2. That sort of car will probably have been caned.Hard Brexit now!

I think Mercs are indeed unreliable but BMWs are surely a lot better. Just read the user reviews online...Originally posted by sasguru View Post1. Because the data show that German cars are not that reliable. Although they pay British advertising agencies a fortune to brainwash people.

I'd stretch a few more quids and get the 535D. Same thing (but 50 bhp more) with twice as many turbos.Originally posted by NorthWestPerm2Contr View Postexactly - the 3.0D engine is awesome.....
Which means when one goes pop, you've still got the other one!Comment
