That a bit on the higher side, but some bloke paid another garage to have my VXR8 inspected, and that cost his £200, because the garage charged him 3 hours labour. They also came back with 32 points needing attention, on a scale of 1 to 10, with about 10 points deemed important. Which also means that I saved money on inspection, and I am only paying for parts and labour..lol. Get it inspected mate. And since they are asking for £275, ask them to make a price list for the "deemed" repairs.

I've got a 2.0d C5 with the Hydractive suspension. It'll automatically adjust the cars ride-height depending on the road surface.

When it gets up to speed on the motorway the ride-height drops to decrease the drag.

I've really noticed the difference in comfort the last couple of days cos I'm driving the garages courtesy car .....

Why on earth woukd you bring a 2CV into the conversation? Anyway a 2CV happens to be better than some of the post war cars BMW produced
Ooh, now that's a touched nerve "catty" reply if ever I saw one.

So can we assume Sas or a person close to him is a sometime or even current owner of - wait for it - a Citroen 2CV ?

P.S. I was replying to someone who had mentioned Citroëns, and his hatred of French cars, and was reliving my acute trauma of once having been in a 2CV while it was moving - It's better to talk about these things, and not try and bottle them up!

I'd actually prefer the 325 for the economy.
I recently bought a very nice AMG spec Merc C250 CDI - I'm going to run it into the ground.

Look at Mercs rather than BMWs.

Nah, my last real AMG the engine blew up after 30,000km whereas the BMW, now 5 years old has done 200,000km and not been in the garage once but I think its now the time to buy a new one so off to the dealers on Monday to look at a car which has the following specs:

                      6 cylinder
                      3 litre
                      410hp
                      600Nm torque
                      8 speed gearbox
                      0-100km in 4.2 seconds
                      305km/h top whack
                      7.6 litres/100km
                      177 g/km Co2 emissions
Raspberry Pink with green leather interior
Would have ordered it earlier but the taxman stiffed me
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.
