      You might, but then again you might not.

      For £5K or £6K you can get a much newer, lower mileage Honda, Toyota, Mazda, Nissan like I listed, which has a higher likelyhood of requiring less repair and servicing costs.

      However, you won't be getting the lovely smooth 3 litre straight six diesel engine and you won't be getting RWD.

      You pays yer money and takes yer chances!

            I think Mercs are indeed unreliable but BMWs are surely a lot better. Just read the user reviews online...

                I'd stretch a few more quids and get the 535D. Same thing (but 50 bhp more) with twice as many turbos.
