Submerged land on Wednesday evening in Gütersloh. A thundershower with pigeon egg sized hailstones over the district of Gütersloh, Bielefeld and Lippe. Streets were shortly flooded, cellars and underground areas were full of water. The fire brigades had their hands full.
Similar reports from Mary in Gütersloh-Avenwedde : "Pigeon egg sized is an understatement, some hailstones were almost tennisball sized. Everywhere there were dented cars, broken car windows, broken roof tiles and broken roof windows, it was madness...
Wahnsinn!"

Started off reasonably nice although a bot overcast but slowly got darker then got light again and you could see it had rained a lot. It suddenly went rather dark but you could see light in the distance so I thought it would pass me by. Like ****, it was like someone dropping a bucket of water on the motorway whilst a big ****off techno disco played in the heavens, and don't mention the power of the gods farts. I had to pull into a service station, along with nearly everyone else and wait awhile and took some photos of large wheelie bins being blown across the car park and trees being uprooted. Eventually continued and the motorway was just covered in tree debris, the hard shoulder was unusable due to the amount of trees and branches on it. A bit further on there was a large tree across the motorway leaving only one lane available. Then the sun came out and it went deeply misty and now its ******* hot and muggy.
