See now this has always been a matter of controversy for me, if a woman is laying into me with fists and nails why would it not be right for me to defend myself?! Some women can be very vicious in their violence.

Fortunately I have never been in the situation, and the only time I have been beaten by a woman I have had to pay for the privilege.

Say the code word and she'll stop.

Defending yourself isn't leaning over a table in a restaurant and throttling your wife, that's just bullying, and losing control.

Seems though, that he may have been provoked, which according to sas, makes it ok...

Shouldn't judge people by their looks, but I will anyway as it's a Wail thread, and he looks to me like a drunken sleazebag with no self control.

                ^^ this.

I would happily defend myself against a woman, but that is limited to restraining them and holding them back. I would never strike a woman, and what those photos exhibit is nothing more than bullying.

I love all this vitriol and judgement over a picture when none of you know the facts. He could have been telling her about something that happened to him acting out the story, a bit over enthusiastically.

If so, he has just radically increased the possibility of it happening to him again then.
