I'm not completely convinced it's a good idea to leave Europe
I like the idea of an enlightened ruling class shaping society for the benefit of all. The simple problem with that or any other system is that it's composed of human beings. We need the system that best corrects for and eliminates the undesirable effects of human weakness. I don't think our current implementation of democracy is it. I think something akin to jury service might be more appropriate than entrusting things to a cadre of self selecting self serving tosspots.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

The nanny state was invented in Britain, not in China. I am sure the average Chinese citizen has to endure less state regulation and interference in his daily live than the British.
And as far as TV propaganda goes, well, the BBC.... ehem...
Really. You think the UK leadership is better than the Chinese?

Yes. there is a difference between a nanny state and a totalitarian state. By the way how is your hero Putin getting on looking after everyone else's interests ahead of his own

I lived in a totalitarian state till the end of the seventies, I know what it was like. I know what I am talking about. Do you know what you are talking about?

China and Russia are not totalitarian. They are authoritarian.
Putin is a Russian patriot. And he gets things done. I'd rather have Putin than Berlusconi or Milliband or Camoron.

He's supposed to get 3 pills a day from nurse, but sometimes she forgets or her bus turns up late; I think it's one of those days. Don't try to talk sense into him, we've all given up.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

Where? Hungary? I am 100% anti-Communist but I don't regard the Eastern European satellites of the Soviets as "totalitarian".
