Depends where you live in the country and how they prioritise work.

Teesside and North East Kent have also been Virgin's test beds for improvements.

Complain to Ofcom and make sure BT know that you are doing it.

Or maybe I just notice it more since I work from home.
We've not seen issues for a while but you're right - when you use the web all day you notice the odd glitch which a casual user might never encounter.

          Wrong
Don't feel alone, it's not just the little man getting screwed. In the last project I ran, I was managing the migration of a 500 million pound organisation into two brand new data centers, which included the provision of fixed lines by these into both locations. I experienced this lack of accountability and constant confusion as to what areas within their organisation were responsible for what, on an epic scale. Fookin infuriating.

12 weeks to provision a line on existing fibre, they even got that wrong.

since then I've spent at least 30 minutes on the phone every night being batted from BT Openreach back to BT while one lot tries to blame the other lot. Taken 2 mornings off work to wait for an engineer who didn't show on either occassion and then I get a text telling me the fault is fixed. Ring them again and they say there was no need for an engineer to visit my house as the fault is outside and they're waiting for a hoist. Then another text to tell me It's fixed. Still no internet. Now they're trying to blame my kit.

This is a business account ffs. I'm tied into a contract but I must be justified in cancelling my direct debit and telling them where to stick it.

Tempted to look into satellite broadband - probably won't be able to expense it as it would be tied into a sky package but wtf.
Useless! Bring back the GPO I say - At least they could install a reliable phone (after a month or two)

Also, I bet you any money Field Marshall Prince George still doesn't have his sword back, after some nutter climbed his statue in Whitehall last year. Pretty trivial in the grand scheme of things, granted, but telling all the same.

We live rurally, very remote too, and apart from one outage for 13 days, we get one or 2 dropped conns a day. I just go and make a cup of tea, for I've worked out for the amount of hassle and stress speaking with Bobs all day, who do not understand the issues, would never be able to resolve them anyway, and who are downright rude anyway, isn't worth it. Have a cup of tea, read the newspaper, let it reconnect. The beauty of working from home, is you can work when you want.

I've tried Talk Talk. I'd venture it's more fun performing your own vasectomy. All of the others aren't in my area.

                      interesting

i am with talk talk - but rarely get problems - maybe once a month may drop connection - but a simple re-boot and all is fine again

i am in the Cheshire area so maybe we just get better service cos we are better people?
