Did one of you cheeky mods edit my post? There was a WBS at the end of it and I don't think I posted that, unless I'm losing my mind.

    Which isn't impossible

            1) It doesn't matter about unsweetened - preservatives matter more. You'll need to boil it for 15 mins to get rid of them
            2) Normal yeast is horrible and beer brewer's yeast dies too early for wine - go to Wilkos and get some general wine yeast (85p).

Otherwise you can do this with the same equipment mentioned above:

I agree with that cojak and the preservatives, but slight addendum: beware a (cheap) juice that is just water, flavour and aspartame or saccharine - no sugars for fermenting in that concoction.

Home brews are ace now we have proper commercial yeasts and vacuum distilled worts for the kits!

Lidl's grape juice is the brewer's brand of choice

I used to do home brew yonks ago, might give it another whirl!

Love the Pruno link - cheers minestrone!

stek - home brew has improved in technology since I was a student doing it many years ago. The kits alone produce some very good beverages and at 40p/pint for beer and £1 for a bottle of wine, it's a bargain.
