    I also can't understand all these Bob-written posts on technical forums like stackoverflow, expecting other people to do their job for them. The good Samaritans who help don't know what they're letting themselves in for: the Bob's don't even accept the right answer---they want nothing less than you going in there and making the edits for them.

    I've never understood why anyone helps: they're up there with kids wanting their university CS assignments done for them.

      That's one of the things I don't like about linkedin. All the technical groups seem to be groups of bobs asking you to do their job.
      Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

      I preferred version 1!

        My old favourite:

        Code:
        try {
            // do some risky stuff here
        }
        catch(e) {
            //ignore it

          spot on
          If UKIP are the answer, then it must have been a very stupid question.

            This thread is an absolute disgrace. One or two in here I would have thought would have known better.

            I just spent the last 10 months working alongside an Indian Consultancy. Hard working chaps and chapesses all of them. We got on really well, would often go out to dinner, or if working late dial out for curry or pizza or whatever.

            Sure there were cultural differences, and the odd character or incompetent, but nothing that could be attributed to the colour of their skin.

            I seriously think I am out of place on this forum if the consensus is racially related insults.

            For balance I have worked with shoddy off shore consultancies as well, but never felt the need to get personal.
            Knock first as I might be balancing my chakras.

                The bunch I am working with are a joke and that's not racist just a fact.

                  You can be sitting there pleasantly parking your breakfast when in comes Bob. First he looks in the mirror to check his hair (they all do this as well) and next thing you know he's hockling green phlegm into the sink where you're expected to wash your hands after he's left.

                  Dirty bastards......

                    I worked at BT in Leeds and we had loads of bobs there and the hocking up flem thing did happen, like it does here. I must admit I have never been stood at the sink when they do it, otherwise I would say something. It sounds disgusting.

                    The guy I have the misfortune to sit next to does stink some days. Not all days, but some days he really should come with a health warning. I've worked with a fair few smelly non bobs also, it just happens that this guy is a bob and he smells. There are other bobs about but I'm not going round sniffing them!

                      I've got big problems with clientco's test team at the moment. I'm seriously considering asking them to outsource cos Bob's never been as bad as these bloody northerners
