Is it about the latest handset, the maps cock up, and people sticking with the 4s or 4, or is there a more fundamental erosion of interest in their phones?

I don't have one and never will. Any owners got any thoughts?
there might be something in the sticking factor. my 2 year iphone deal comes to a close in a few months and unlike every other phone i have ever had i'm not in any hurry to get there. all my previous phones were either hopelessly outdated or had battery / screen / button issues after such an amount of time.

my i4 works as well as ever. frankly i'd find it difficult to live without. why change?

i will change though. one of the kids can have the old one but even so there'll be plenty that stick for longer.

Perhaps it's a mistranslation from the French.

      For "potatohead".
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

My misses got an Iphone4 and myself and Samsung Galaxy S3, when I have a play with her ... phone it just seems cr*p compared to mine. I've never bought into the whole Apple marketing or technology, I'm not a techno geek / gadget lover, but from a functionality perspective I much prefer the S3. Only problem I do find is I'm on to much seriously considering just getting an old skool phone so Im not on my S3 so much.
I like big butts and I cannot lie.

Is there really that much difference between IOS and Android?

Same apps really, similar level of hardware, pretty similar way of doing it. I just don't see a big difference. Big cost difference though.

Was thinking the other day how the technology will jump next, I would think cameras will mostly jump to android platforms, possibly the much heralded smart fridge will go towards android when it comes about in the next few years. similar with other home devices. I would think android will win out because of its freedom and ubiquity.

Try to keep up. We were comparing Apple when they were in trouble pre-iPod/iMac, and MS who are described as being in trouble now.

                  WHS

I am an Applehead but I don't think the iPhone is greatest thing ever, it's not a great phone but it's a good tool and integrates across ones iLife very well if you are into Apple stuff.

The 4S is ace, feels quality like a Rolex whereas all these S3's etc to me feel like plastic toys, and I know it's not about that but I like it! the iPhone 5 is dead light and plasticky and I won't be upgrading to that one.

I'll be keeping the 4S when my contract expires too, and look around for a sim only deal, prolly Three since I eat data and have Three here in IE - dual sim-tastic!

Personally, I feel the 4S will become a 'Classic Phone' when 'Classic Smartphones' magazine comes out (Plan B?)

Most people on here are quite technology based, you seem to be brand orientated.

It's a thread about the brand. What am I supposed to post about in it, the price of fish?
