Yawn. Don't bother. How they've made this in to three films beggars belief.

I actually just got back from watching this.
Certainly agree that it was dragged out.
Freeman is a bit too comic-relief for my liking, and some of the scenes defied the laws of physics, but it was pretty good. -
The second film sees Bilbo Baggins tie his shoe-laces --- how could you cut it down to just two films without losing the magic?Originally posted by MarillionFan View PostYawn. Don't bother. How they've made this in to three films beggars belief.

The chase seen was as you defying the law of physics. Jackson could spin anything out. Can't wait for his 3 part film about Jack & Jill and that hill.Originally posted by Robinho View PostI actually just got back from watching this.

Saw it in 48 fps, 3D as intended - very good and did not feel dragged out compared to LOTR 1.
Spoke to those who saw it in 24 fps first and they said it was not as good.
If the next ones are as good then he is on a big winner.Comment

In so far as the details go towards portraying a vivid and rich imaginary world they're fine; but when people (including Tolkein) start inventing new languages and writing a plethora of related books it becomes a bit silly.Work in the public sector? Read the IR35 FAQ hereComment
