Well of course he is a very perceptive man is the Pope.
      Not much gets past him.

Well, there wouldn't be animals in a manger - that's where they eat from....

Anyway, what the pope said was that "In the gospels there is no mention of animals" (linky), which is true.

However, his comments have absolutely nothing to do with the debate about gay marriage.

There wasn't a lobster either. And?

Also - how can a Catholic not like the Pope? Isn't that quite a large part of the Catholic faith?

What a great respresetative for the catholic church, a bimbling old man barely holding it together.

yeah, right! Unless the pope has really lost his marbles.
Why should he be unhappy? No Catholic are being forced to conduct a gay marriage. They are not going to cause a fuss - unlike muslims.

+1. Shall we start a petition to have him thrown out?

Will you stand for pope next time. I will vote for you! Best of all, being Catholic, drinking is virtually compulsory. I often feel like an outsider at church being teetotal.

                  I meant the stable...

I know, my post wasn't about gay marriage either.

Though, if they want to get married, let them IMO.

                  Easy.

I liked the last fella, this one, not so much. The Pope to me is more of an office than a person, but perhaps my view is odd.

Although are you allowed to call the pope that?
