Haven't seen Corrie in years. Caught a bit when I was queuing in the chippy the other week, and the only character I recognised was the pub

Neither. Don't send them. Tell people that you are making a charitable donation instead. Then act like a contractor and keep the money.

Waste of time and money. If your extension is based on whether you give a present at Christmas, I'd suggest you save the money and invest in some kind of training. That way, you may be judged on ability rather than presents.

Eat their food, drink their drinks, contribute nothing.

I don't give presents or cards. I don't eat their cakes and they don't get any from me. I am a miserable git!
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

          I preferred version 1!

(I used to send cards with 'Greetings from Cojak Ltd' printed on them, I might do that again next year for obvious reasons..)
1200 cards at £1 each by any chance?

Ive got the snr dev a bottle. He was responsible for contacting me about this gig and I've had an extension since.

I has nothing to do with future extensions, just a way of saying thankyou for putting work my way.

                No, not at all!

For that money I'll get 300 cards and little gadget gifts with the cojakltd.co.uk and logo stuck on them

I remember reading in TPD one Christmas of the joy you had watching it (!)

That would be years ago now, though, since I've not logged in for two years until this week.

Same for me, I worked with the current client 4 years ago. Then a new project came along and the senior dev recommended me for the role. Been on the current contract for the past 18 months.

Permies are people too, you get good people and bad people. I am just trying to make sure we appreciate the good ones.
