My mother in law puts the sprouts on about now.

My grandmother was the same. Causing grey sprouts should be a criminal offence.

1. Put two slices of bread in toaster
2. Open tin of beans, pour into pan and heat on medium heat for 2 minutes whilst stirring.
3. Butter toast when done.
4. Pour beans over toast.
5. Serve.

Very true.

Lots of toasters don't brown bread sufficiently until they are on their second batch.

There's usually a few mins after the veg and potatoes are prepared before she puts them on, so she gets a rest then.
