              I order American car parts all the time from the US, always by credit card and anything over about $125 you have to pay Duty & VAT on. Not had any issues. Escrow accounts can work but mean too much faffing about unless it's an individual who doesn't take cards rather than a business. Paypal fees are usually too high for larger items.

              What sort of watch? Pics please.

                    I've got a tulip load of parts on order from US for my Plan B - was willing to accept the VAT/Duty charge but wonder if I can avoid it by flying out on Ltd dollar! NLUK, what do you think?

                    Value only a bout 1k Sterling tho, prolly not much in it....

                      probably worth going to inspect suppliers, stay in a nice business hotel, have a few free days so you can investigate the local market and take cosec with you?
