21/12/2012 - is this European or American date format?

        I have a 100GB database,

I have SSIS logging on, which causes the space to grow to 251GB; 100GB user data, 151GB logs.

        Should I turn it off?

Not a question, but i have just found out one of our Bob teams have backed up config files on a production service by appendin "ddmmyyyy" on the end, so now we have had all our config files publicly accessible for months and to make it worse they have the connection strings with plain-text passwords in them

Loads of companies don't use that or even have formal staging etc.

I knew a Bob who Chowned everything on a prod database server.

He also managed to point the production application instance onto the Development database.

                He is also still there...

What does Bob represent? Just a name for a incompetent fellow worker?

And use Swahili time in real life. It makes sense.
