Of course, if agency had said, ok fair enough we'll stand you for those two days go in and see what happens then fair enough I would do so.
Not sure why NLUK + al are creating - this is clear cut how I read it...if there is a risk of not being paid and the agent is also not agreeing to it, then why take what is a high risk of going horribly wrong ??

Surely one of the key principles of running a business and behaving like a business is to ensure the correct contract documentation is in place on all sides ?

            Nice weekend all

Perhaps if you got back to the client and explained that coming to work without the agency agreement means your insurance is not valid and it therefore cannot be done. Of course, you would love to come in and help out but cannot unless the agency agree to it - your hands are tied etc.

Maybe that would get them talking to the agency and create a payable scenario for you - or it will not in which case you have what you have anyway.

The nerve they've got is amazing. Please work for an extra two days and at the end of the week we'll let you know whether you're back on monday or not.

Potentially, it will really piss them off when I fail to turn up on Thursday but there we go.

Have spoke to agency and they wont authorise those two days because they've been burnt by client before like this where contract has not been renewed and they've never got the 2 days paid for. That's that then. No go from agent means no go for me.

Must admit I have never worked for a client as bad as this with extensions. Most are, sorry, I know you've got 3/4 weeks to go but we cant renew - thanks etc. No problems with that - name of the game. But when its wait until last day, work for free, etc etc it goes too far....
could you do the two extra days but charge for them in current week - e.g. add to previous weekend - weveryone happy then?
