It's not exactly hard to do. It's not even as if Starbucks are cheaper or better than those paying all their tax.
Now, if only we could mobilise the rest of the population to do the same - Starbucks would start paying their fair share then.Back at the coal faceComment

It's nothing to do with their 'fair share'. Simply that they pay the legal CT rate on UK profits, to the UK.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

Precisely. So do most of us. Doesn't stop them hunting us down though does it? Why don't they chase multi nationals?Originally posted by d000hg View PostIt's nothing to do with their 'fair share'. Simply that they pay the legal CT rate on UK profits, to the UK.Comment

Starbucks is a really great tax model.
So you can open up an offshore company named "Mycontractor" You then open up a UK Ltd co under "anyname" and trade as Anyname T/A "Mycontractor". You then pay 80% of income as royalties to the offshore company and pay FA tax. No doubt you will have to contribute to election funds to make sure you are not chased."A people that elect corrupt politicians, imposters, thieves and traitors are not victims, but accomplices," George OrwellComment

Because it's more difficult, and because presumably the legal side is VERY nasty. If we can do director loans and use dividends just think what you can legally do when you've multiple countries to work in.Originally posted by tractor View PostPrecisely. So do most of us. The trick is to have an asset which is owned offshore but required for the company to work
Look at hotukdeals. Why is the domain name owned by the seychille's based company apart from allowing a large amount of money to be sent somewhere else in the world.merely at clientco for the entertainmentComment

Why not try this approach.
Look youse. you are trading at a loss every year, therefore you are going under, therefore we will force you into administration.
If youse are not going under, you are filching money from the country which is laundering.
so we will arrest the directors, then force you into administration

But they are not stealing money. They are just playing the game better than the government is. In a global market most things are a race to the bottom and the lowest corporation tax wins.Originally posted by EternalOptimist View PostWhy not try this approach.

And its not as if you can't join in the game provided your business is not a bum and a seat contractor.
