I'm not interested in spoonfeeding everything to you. It's not exactly surprising is it, Scotland gets a lot of public expenditure, and has a lot of oil. The data is a mere google search away if you want to find it.
If you assert that something is a fact you should be prepared to back it up. Yet again you're unable to, that's 2 out of 2. Run the numbers on that and evidence based reasoning leads to the conclusion that you are full of BS.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Sorry what was the first one?
Again why is this so suprising? Scotland gets a lot of public spending (google barnett formula), it also has a lot of oil revenue (google North sea oil revenue).
If you had said "hey rob, do you have any links to that data, i'm quite interested" i might give you a link, but i suspect you don't care at all, you're just being confrontational for the sake of it.

Let me guess, a five foot two keyboard warrior who lives with his mother and is challenged dressing himself in the morning. In other words an IT / contractor forum member.
Try learning debating skills once you master the basics of living in society.

Hey, maybe you're AndyW!
Yes i am the one that is the keyboard warrior and needs to work on my debating skills.
You were going to 'run the numbers' but turned out not to have any.
Why don't you give us a breakdown of scottish GDP and prove your assertion that Scotland is bankrolled by the oil industry? I'm an englishman and i'd be interested to know the extent to which this is true as my understanding is that the whole of the UK benefits from the north sea, that even when you take that out of the equation scotland is one of the more productive regions of the uk because of manufacturing, tourism and financial services.
Not sure why Doogie and Doodab are doubting Robinhos facts. It's a well known FACT that the Scottish are skirt wearing, penny pinching, deep fried Mars Bar eating, chasing the dragon smack dealing, higher than average heart attack having, 9 out of 10 taking in more benefits that giving, shandy drinking, couldn't punch their way out of a wet paper bag wearing, Northern haggis eating, lower than IQ average having, tulip football nation playing chunts.

Yeah, but we know how to party.....
When freedom comes along, don't PISH in the water supply.....

I never said i was going run the numbers. I explained the dynamics very clearly and nobody including yourself was able to counter it. Much like in a situation where A + B = C, it is possible to say C is larger than both A and B without having to plug in any particular values.

In fact gdp excluding oil is around 124 billion, oil revenue even with prices through the roof is a fraction of that.
Feel free to prove any of that wrong.
GDP excluding oil is reasonably high because Scotland gets so much public spending (remember that GDP includes public spending). Roughly 17% more than the UK average (per head) IIRC. Oil constitutes 1/6th (conveniently ~17%) of the GDP of Scotland which is a very substantial amount and it takes the taxation of that 1/6th for Scotland to break even on a net basis with the UK. Ie Scotland sends as much in taxes south as it receives in public spending (long term trend).
Hence, Scotland's high level of public spending and benefits are/would be bankrolled via oil.
