Is that the one with David McCallum and Joanna Lumley? I have only the vaguest of memories of it. I'll need to look it up.

I remember thinking it worked better as a slapstick comedy rather than the po-faced comedy-drama I remembered from childhood. Still had a good theme tune either way, though.
The original film was OK as I recall. But the Yanks flog a winning formula to death, and then keep on flogging it until nothing remains but a greasy spot.

Time for a new TV show now: Dragon's Den, BBC2, on now.

          Have a good evening, all.

Many already said but as someone aged 30 who grew up with what the parents watched:

              - Red Dwarf
              - Yes [Prime] Minister
              - Only Fools & Horses
              - Jeeves & Wooster (bought the boxset, it's wonderful)

I wonder if Rising Damp is still any good...

Didn't stand the test of time: Monkey Magic (or whatever its name really is! - that Japanese thing, with Pigsy, a Monkey-person flying around on a cloud and that girl playing a Buddhist priest).

                Edit: this is it!

I thoroughly enjoyed the series Mash in its early days, but it lost its edge and I stopped watching it before it ground to a halt.

I haven't seen that in years.

The original Saint with Roger Moore was very enjoyable when I saw it last year.
                      The Champions too.
The Professionals (partly because I saw most of them in badly dubbed German first time around).

                      Callan.

Last of the Summer Wine before the canned laughter and obligatory Southerner crept in.
