Isn't someone tarring "all" Jewish people negatively with the same brush merely because they've had a negative experience with some Jewish people the very definition of anti-Semitism?Originally posted by cailin maith View PostI can't believe I am going to weigh in on this, especially after yesterday saying we fight our own battles
but I really think I need to say this.
Just because Spod has has bad experiences working for and with Jewish people doesn't make him Anti-Semetic. Unfortunatly he's not had any positive experiences and ended up tarring them all with the same brush as it were.
For the record, I've also had bad experiences working for and with Jewish people but I've also had positive experiences and I have some great friends who are Jewish. It just so happens, he doesn't.
I think to label him as anti-semetic simply because there is a "label" available for people who say anything negative about Jewish people, is wrong. ...
When you view someone negatively merely because of what they are, rather than because of anything they've actually done to you as an individual, that does represent prejudice against the group in question. If that group is "Jews", then the appropriate label is "anti-Semite".
It's not the fact that Spod "has bad experiences working for and with Jewish people" that makes him anti-Semitic. It's the fact he uses those limited experiences as an excuse to voice unpalatable views about the whole wider ethnic group that does that.Comment

merely.
thats an interesting word.
my dad was anti jap, merely because the kamikazed him, torpedoed him, shot at him and knocked off a few of his friends. Silly old fool should have put that aside and gone to meet the other 80 million japs, some of whom were very nice I am sure.
People make judgements based on their experiences. Someone who is anti jewish without having any experience is anti semetic, and a fool

If you have had a 100% negative experience with working with a certain group, then I believe it i fair comment that you can express the fact you dont like working with that particular group. Until you get a positive experience, then all you have is a negative one to base your judgement on. I haven't been in this situation, but it doesn't stop me understanding where you could build up a view like this.
I think you're a stuck up bint with a self inflated ego. However, I have met many women who aren't like you, so I recognise it's just you whom I think is a bit of a twat, not all women. However, if all women were like you, not only would I prefer the company of men, but I'd feel the right to comment that all women were stuck up bints with a self inflated ego.

I agree with you, UNLESS he thinks their faults were BECAUSE they were Jews.Originally posted by cailin maith View PostI think to label him as anti-semetic simply because there is a "label" available for people who say anything negative about Jewish people, is wrong.
FWIW I never understood why you both adopt the "he'she is nothing to do with me" line on CUK. You're married and weird as it is, CUK is part of your marriage (you poor thing).Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

Some people are just Anti-Admin Cojak. I'm sure there are really nice Admin's somewhere and we shouldn't hate them all just because of one bad experience. I happen to think Admin on here is Ok and when he tells me to STFU, I generally do.Originally posted by cojak View PostSo pleased that Admin's STFU emails have been acted upon...
