Originally posted by escapeUK View PostNot it doesnt, Ive never had a vodka hangover and id probably have around 4 shots before a night out (2 doubles) to get me in the mood, half a dozen vodka (upto a max of about 10) drinks mixed with shots during throughout the night. And I perhaps do this once every 3 months or so, so Im not exactly used to it as I do it so often.
And you dont have to taste it, you can feel it the effect. In my circle of friends the ones who get the hangovers are the ones who drink 10 pints as beer has loads of congeners.
Saying "you can tell by how you feel" is simply not true either... otherwise the oldest form of drink spiking would not exist. Your perception of how drunk you are is not reliable, and becomes less so as you drink!Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

Saying you get a hangover and cant judge your level of intoxication is not science either. I can, you cant. I cant do a high jump, therefore I guess it must mean that no one else can either following your logic.Comment

In one study, 33 percent of those who drank an amount of bourbon relative to their body weight reported severe hangover, compared to 3 percent of those who drank the same amount of vodka.

But anyway, I didn't say anything about my personal experiences, I stated well-established fact which you can find through research of your own... spiking drinks with alcohol.
Surely you know the differences between statistics and individual empirical experiences? Your argument is exactly the same as someone saying "my gran lived to 99 and smoked 20 a day since 16, so clearly cigarettes aren't bad for you".
Why are you getting upset just because someone says your arguments are flawed, it's an attack on your position not your personally?Last edited by d000hg; 1 September 2012, 12:37.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

But anyway, I tell you I have no hangover from drinking just vodka, and I know many others who enjoy the same benefit. If you put "Vodka no hangover" into google you will you find many such anecdotes whether you choose to believe them or not is up to you.Last edited by escapeUK; 1 September 2012, 12:38.Comment
