My lad is keen, ambitious. But he's also young and never come across this type of thing before. He's made excellent progress in the company with national recognition within it.
I've told him to make a record of every little thing (yes, he has an iphone) but its a busy work environment so he cant always do it there and then. I've been giving him my thoughts and advice but he's probably been thinking these things will blow over.
We arent talking off the record disciplinary stuff here. its full on official and its scary some of the tulip this woman is doing. If he gets booted or leaves, I've no doubt another existing member of staff will become the next target.
I've spoken to him today and said we need to sit down and determine what his approach is going to be as I think he's considering jacking it all in and going somewhere else (which he may have to do anyway but jobs in this area arent 10 a penny). I have no problem funding the cost of an employment law firm for him. Like lots of young people, he just thinks these type of things dont happen or there's little you can do.
I agree he has to fit back though, if only to teach this manager a few rules and regs.
