As for right wingers, read the actual facts as stated by reputable sources like the WHO, US state department, ONS, hospital, police reports or university studies sources and it is clear their view, although it may be exaggerated, bear more resemblance to reality than those of the left.

I agree lefties are generally the last people to help the poor and do seemingly altruistic/philanthropic stuff, but as regards Gordon Brown my understanding is that he has given most of his speech earnings to charitable causes.
