Sexting - what is the issue?

You are supposed to be ******* horrified because someone else will have a picture of your childrens bits and free to do with it what they will, be it show the entire school, teachers, forward it on, unwitting pass it to perverts and peado's. The results range from utter humiliation of your child, some kind of mental / depressive issues, exclusion from school and so on....

If you can't work that out I wonder how much you are thinking about your childs future and how much you care..

If they do it willingly then it proves they are stupid and have a lesson to learn. I mean - what sort of useless twunt puts pictures of their bits in public? They might end up getting a fraudlant accountant!

If it is not willingly then the appropriate steps will be taken.

I'd keep an eye on that younger one. Decimally aged children are always troublesome.

When the kids were younger I was denied access to them for 6 months. I got arrested to see my kids. And I will continue to do EVERYTHING I can to assist. I might add that when I was 6 my father died - but somehow I survived and did very well. I was written off at every turn - but I have ended up in IBs for the last 25 years. Admittedly there have been some failures - like posting on cuk.

However realistically there is only so much one can do. May the Lord give me the grace to change what I can change and accept the things I cannot.

He is the size of a 7 year old with the mentality of a 1 year old. He has a huge amount of testosterone in him - very aggrssive. It would not suprise me if he was already sexting with the 4.5 year old girl next door.

I've every sympathy with kids who allow themselves to be photographed in ways they don't want sharing but I'm only horrified that they were so stupid.

Why is it inevitable that someone else will have a picture of my children in topless/nude poses? What are you going to do about it to make sure your children are protected?

For the record, I have teenage kids, and I'm not in anyway fearful for my kids safety as a result of this report. Which is hardly new news.

Agreed, if you are stupid enough to hand over a pic to someone which then becomes under their control, you cant complain, you consented. Think about possible impacts BEFORE you do the act.

Plus kids nowadays dont have any respect re sex or people. Scrotes.

Rather than call her stupid, you should appreciate that most kids do not exercise sound adult judgement at those ages.

Most other people recognise this, which is the reason countries have laws that include provisions for minimum age.

And it is small consolation learning the lesson after the genie is out of the bottle. It is too late by then.

I've warned my kids about the dangers posed by the internet, and, because we actually talk to each other and trust each other, they've taken that advice. Sure, they may do something stupid - we all have done - but hopefully the scope for stupidity is reduced. It is the responsibility of the parents to protect their kids.

On the other hand, people who pass such photos around should find out that their actions are not without consequence.

I guess the issue lies with the refusal to deal with the small scale bullying that goes on - so it gets out of hand, victims lives are ruined and the perpetrators go too far and end up facing jail time.

In Switzerland, this does happen from time to time, but the kids seem to have more self-respect and sense than in the UK, even those in Zürich.

I didn't mean to say it was inevitable but doesn't the thought that it may be happening not worry you at all? It is not inevtiable but it does happen. I am sure every parent that gets stuck with this issue will be adamant their kids wouldn't do this. I am sure they will also believe they have done what they can to protect them as well. Anyway, said my bit now. It appears it is only me that finds this trolling distasteful so will bow out.
