More likely the cretin tweeted from his mobile phone.

Lots of people don't have fixed IPs in the UK. I've been blocked from forums before due to someone else being abusive months before on an IP that I got then assigned.

Mind you, with the quality of TV these days, that's probably put him back on the critical list.
Although second line was a gag, the first was seriously what I heard today

But then rumours always fly around in situations like this.

Being banned from the internet for 56 days would have been fairer IMO.

So you think people should go to prison for not showing respect? What gets me is the country has no money, yet we waste policemans time investigating a none crime. Not only that we actually have a court case, and then he has to spend a month in prison. How much does that cost? How much tax wont he be paying that month? (Ok he's a student so probably nothing) And why? Because someone was offended by something that someone else said.

Never admit to anything. Let them prove you incited something. They couldnt prove that the BNP leader incited anything with the things he said! And he was actually an organised man telling people his views with an end motive of getting elected, not a random drunk yob saying random stuff.

Incite means he tried to persuade someone to act in a violent or unlawful way. Not guilty. Case dismissed.

But making a big statement could send a message and save them lots of money down the line.

This case also moved very quickly. I actually think while he's an utter idiot, jail time is crazy here unless he had previous.
