    Hardcore.
The gulf in mentality is amazing. When I was a permie I found it difficult to get out of bed when I was in good health let alone when I was sick. Now I drag myself out of bed in whatever state my health is..... Gotta take the money!

I believe the causal effect is that the mentality makes you go into contracting not vice versa.

When I was a permie I would turn up after no sleep following a massive session or with any kind of illness. Of course once I was well I'd take a sick day in lieu and enjoy it in rule health.

For gods sake! Why the feck would you have a hangover on your own time?

Wednesdays used to be the party night when I worked away from home. So thursdays work was mainly restricted to stuff that it would n't be too hard to fix on friday.

        Must try harder

I puked in the wastepaper bin next to my desk once.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Wow what are you lot like. The first sign of feeling ill and im off home. Shrouds have no pockets and we arent permies who need to impress their manager by being stoical.

              Permie.

I try to avoid big sessions during the week now as beer gives me a headache in medium to large quantities. I'll take sick days if I have a migraine but that's it. One this year.

I try not to have time off in either permy or contractor mode.

But then again I'm not a southern shandy-drinking jessie!

I had a migraine once, thought I was dying. Caused by a 75hz CRT with a 50hz Neon striplight. Not fun.

You should go and see your gynaecologist again. Even at your age, irregular menstruation can be a symptom of something serious.

I knew a guy who drank Stella top. Whenever at the pub I hated buying the next round and having to speak those words. They always put his drink in a girlie glass so at least I had the last laugh as I gave it to him

I'm Currently mentoring a public sector permie manager.

Last week he had a cold and was off all week.

Apparently he was off a whole month last year for a cold too...

Public Sector is a REAL eye opener after all these years of contracting in proper companies...

I should have started a blog from the start...
