I puked in a waste paper bin in Batley after an all night transition when ill, coming back from Sheffield to Leeds, came off the M1 to vomit, didn't want to stop on the dual carriageway...

Heading to where the missus worked, for some reason. Up-chucked, sat in Tesco's for a bit, coffee and a pie from Greggs, sorted....

    Permies, pah!

I'm Currently mentoring a public sector permie manager.

Last week he had a cold and was off all week.

Apparently he was off a whole month last year for a cold too...

Public Sector is a REAL eye opener after all these years of contracting in proper companies...

I should have started a blog from the start...

I knew a guy who drank Stella top. Whenever at the pub I hated buying the next round and having to speak those words. They always put his drink in a girlie glass so at least I had the last laugh as I gave it to him

You should go and see your gynaecologist again. Even at your age, irregular menstruation can be a symptom of something serious.

I try not to have time off in either permy or contractor mode.

But then again I'm not a southern shandy-drinking jessie!

I had a migraine once, thought I was dying. Caused by a 75hz CRT with a 50hz Neon striplight. Not fun.

For gods sake! Why the feck would you have a hangover on your own time?

Wednesdays used to be the party night when I worked away from home. So thursdays work was mainly restricted to stuff that it would n't be too hard to fix on friday.

    Must try harder

I believe the causal effect is that the mentality makes you go into contracting not vice versa.

When I was a permie I would turn up after no sleep following a massive session or with any kind of illness. Of course once I was well I'd take a sick day in lieu and enjoy it in rule health.

Jesus, I have gone into work in shocking states, both ill and hungover.

As the good man says; Hash browns, red bull, lots of pretend work and as much coffee as a man can drink.

It's good to find an excuse to get into the AC controlled server rooms mind.

Once sent home for having a minging man flu, still charged for the day...

Best have the Stella after getting out of the car. Better still, take the train and get the beer off the trolley, but remember you need 2 1/2 cans to make the full 2 pints. You could always offer the other half can to they nice lady say opposite.
