I agree, I know well everyone is trained to be aware of the fact that unlike CoD the bullets will be firing at you will kill, but they can also expect that the people back home support them, and are allowed to mourn when they give their lives in the line of duty rather than some keyboard warrior posts tulip on an anonymous internet forum

I know it probably offends your peaceful nature hearing that the war is still going on, that people are still dying so why don't you just switch over to cbeebies instead

Emotions are running high on this following the news and I'd appreciate a bit of sensitivity from those who do not have friends and loved ones in the line of danger.

I will take a dim view of wind-up merchants at this time.

I'm offended by the word dim in this context.

Currently showing Horrible History - Woeful Second World War. Nope. That won't help.

How are they missold the risk? "Hey, look, I know you know there are some wars on, and that quite a large percentage of your young squaddies come home dead, but its not true, honestly, we'll train you in IT eventually and you'll all end up in IT in 12 years, honest, and no one is going to shag your girlfriends/wives while you are away, oh, and as you will have noticed, if you get really ill, or really badly injured, we'll look after you then too...".

You know my thoughts on the intellectual capacity of folk who decide joining the army as squaddies is a good thing, knowing exactly what happens to them. This isn' a wind up, a trolling session, or owt else, it is precisely what I believe. There's no way on any ones planet, that I would sign up to something, which I knew gave a large percentage chance of ending up in the graveyard before my parents. If I understand the risks, I am sure most others do too.

I don't believe in war, I don't agree to it, and I abhor what soldiers do. I didn't sign up for the war, so there is no way I should support it, or who takes part in it.

Yes, like we know your thoughts on most things. Muddled at best, bitter at worst.
The thing here is, nobody gives a toss what you think, so keep your inane drivel to yourself.
Keep your gob shut and appear stupid rather than opening it to provide confirmation.

And you think people listen to your gobtulipe fatso?

Trouble is, all those years being told what to do has addled what little intellect you ever had; even your dad wanted to get rid of you.

Very few of us do. The difference is that we understand the consequences and accept the responsibilities of not going to war. I presume that you would have been quite happy following Hitlers' regime had Churchill followed you and not declared war on germany.
