Yes because the war in Afghanistan is so similar to WWII.

You know my thoughts on the intellectual capacity of folk who decide joining the army as squaddies is a good thing, knowing exactly what happens to them. This isn' a wind up, a trolling session, or owt else, it is precisely what I believe. There's no way on any ones planet, that I would sign up to something, which I knew gave a large percentage chance of ending up in the graveyard before my parents. If I understand the risks, I am sure most others do too.

I don't believe in war, I don't agree to it, and I abhor what soldiers do. I didn't sign up for the war, so there is no way I should support it, or who takes part in it.
What about taking pride in one's nation, what about knowing that for all the bad out there in the world you are one of the few that knows the risk but still signs up to say yes I want to help, I want to protect those who cannot protect them selves. By no means disagree to the war, shout at the politicians who for what ever reason gave them the order to invade, but that doesn't mean you cannot stand by the soldier, the sailor and the aircrew and grieve for them when they die.

And again; I love the way you provide all the proof needed that you don't have that many branches in your family tree. I just sit back and watch with my feet up, giggling at your own stupidity.

Our friend is stating a position on all wars. Incidentally why is Afghanistan any different from WW2? It was decided by a democratically elected government that we should go to war in Afghanistan just as WW2 was.

I grieve the innocents these people kill and disrespect, I grieve the squaddies ability to quickly stampede over peoples human rights. Let's be honest, some squaddies get given way too much power and it goes to their heads, hence people mysteriously dying in 'prisons', the disrespect shown to their religions and cultures.

Shannyboy may like having more cocks in him than a chicken farm, not me though. I don't respect them, and don't see a need to.
