It should create conditions that facilitate creation of that many jobs, so essentially yes it is responsible for it.

What he also forgets is that out of the 2.75 million unemployed a certain large percentage of those have no intention of working or trying to find work.

So if the government is responsible for the unemployment rate, you're saying we have one of the best governments in Europe since our unemployment rate is better than most countries in Western Europe bar Netherlands and Germany?
        Hard Brexit now!

No, but it's probably best false accounting that results in shifting unemployed people off the books to be classified differently just like they did with PFI debt malarkey

Also being a homeless bum in this country much harder than in warmer Spain.

Encouraging long term investment into areas that will get lots of people employed to produce stuff that is in demand not just in this country but also around the world.

City might make money from hot air but it can't provide large scale employment, neither can pharma or even IT on it's own (ie: Silicon Valley kind of thing).

I think all the governments in Europe play that game, so not a valid point.

Yes but some are better at it than the others surely?

Overall UK probably got lower unemployment because people in this country worked hard for centuries and perhaps only in recent decades that begun to change thanks to welfare state, cheap cider and Sky.

Are you making the claim that borrowing money is always a bad way to generate money?
