Good luck, always fancied doing a triathlon, but you dont jut need to be fit, you need to be super fit.

      When is it?

I know, the 7.5k the 6 of us raised for a kids hospice in Guildford is that too.

August 18th/19th. But I have to fit training in around my 3 kids which is tough. My goal is just to finish within the 17 hours - 2 hours swim, 8 hours cycle, 7 hours run. I will be 49 on 27th Aug so its going to be tough!
Where is the cycling being done?

Don't know if you're a keen cyclist, so apologies if I am teaching you to suck eggs, but get in a group and tow yourselves along, swapping every 2-3 mins front to back. It makes it so much easier sharing the load.

We also did a London - Paris bike ride about 4 years ago for the same charity, it was very easy apart from the drag down to Portsmouth for the ferry. But on the long roads in France, we zipped along in really large groups

Charity. I don't like to talk about it.

And frankly 400 miles in 3 days to raise £7.5k. Pitiful.

Generally against the rules in time trials and triathlons.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Lightweight. I did Lands End to John O' Groats - 1065.4 miles.
